Kue is classic traditional Indonesian cake, its bite-size sweet/savory snack or dessert food that’s popular in Indonesia and on the other hand traditional Indonesian kue also demonstrated local native delicacies. The fact, the diversity of traditional cake (Jajan Pasar) in Indonesia is very rich, they are more often steamed than bake and are thus very different in texture, flavour and appearances.  Since not many people are interested of making traditional cake (kue) at home and knowing the common classic reason that making traditional cake is quite tedious to do it on your own.   As the lifestyle has totally changed, nowadays everyone demand anything easy when it comes for the snacks, but not me! I still enjoy making my own traditional cakes at home so that I could anytime bring back the beauty of my childhood memory. Rosemary garlic roasted potatoes and pumpkin

In the case to find a joy for the simple cooking and baking, I actually prefer the quick and easy, such roasting the very basic vegetables to be a nibble whenever needed. Since my son starts schooling, I need to create anything simple, not to say that I fetching less patience but the fact I tell you the truth, I am just human being and not a super woman, anything simple, quick and tasty, oh I would always go for it! :) I am not all about complaining after realized that I find out my day seems moving too quick and it isn’t fair if I wish a day to have 48hrs. After all, this is what I love the most, taking an important panel in a role as mother and a wife, I’m blessed and I cherish in these precious days. To me, it always easy to be inspired, making something satisfied nailed to your version and it would be lovely if it turns to be your favorite! Pumpkin Soup

I heart pumpkin so is my little man, at all times tempted when the seasons filled with the bright yellow with the sexy curve and appealing shape, it stunning ! The rich flavour after it cooked is incredible creamy somewhat goes well with the natural sweetness. Initially, I was actually thinking of making kolak labu kuning flavour with jack fruit, like I ever posted here , but then I have changed my mind to make something which suitable for my 17 months sweetheart too, so the dessert do a simply satisfying guarantee to all of us.   This pumpkin cappuccino isn’t like cappuccino you normally have to complete your day, it’s more than that, more than you ever imagine The name was come into my head when the weather these days actually scrambled, rain, sun, gloomy and all I really want is just relax, pampering myself with shots of extraordinary one, easy and the same time delicious Yes, it’s Pumpkin Cappuccino…what a name! Isn’t it sounds amused?   What I love about this dish its simplicity of preparation is the fabulous versatility and the idea of serving it in the shots glasses or even cutie cup was tremendously unique, perhaps its seems nuts but when you take a look at it, its pretty cool... Kolak-Indonesian sweet dessert

  Kolak or Kolek is typical Indonesian dessert, it has a  wonderful fragrance from the pandan leaf and also has a unique taste that makes kolak stay in original flavour. Kolak is stewing fruits and vegetable in creamy coconut milk and are such a pumpkin, yam, cassava, palm seed (kolang kaling), banana and sweet potato. Most of kolak are smells so good somehow it’s really appetizing too, by adding the jackfruit it created another special flavour. It is quite satisfied and you may comfort your afternoon tea time with kolak and it is perfect if its serve chilled. Kolak is very popular as classic Indonesian dessert, in fact it’s usually eaten as appetizer instead, it’s could be serve warm or chilled somewhat I prefer chilled. To give the soup which made of coconut milk more appetizing fragrant and flavour we used to add in pandanus leaf , there are also some various maker of kolak have a preference adding jackfruit if its comes to a season as wish-for to get more mouth-water equivalent sweet soup as a dessert. To be honest I am not a huge fans of sweet-tooth the fact I do love dessert but if it contains too much sweetener, I would rather have something else which in sourish. I feel like to have chill Kolak labuh kuning (Classic Indonesian sweet pumpkin soup) as my company of my late afternoon, having it peace while watching some program on TV oh! "Please don’t compare with your lime sorbet or I will go for both" wink.. I had little puzzled with my pumpkin past few days ago, it just sitting nicely in my fridge before...
