Pineapple and mango sate

I wasn’t planning to make this kind of rustic dessert after I saw a quick look at my cooking book "Contemporary Balinese Asian Cooking ", its too appealing attractive not to note and not to give it a try. The striking ingredients were hooked me, I salivated over the picture and was suddenly inspired.  Pineapples mango sate palm sugar sago , it sounds exotic kind of rustic dessert, those pineapple and mango were threat onto bamboo skewer grill or pan sear, serves with palm sugar sago and topping with grated coconut. I believe that you would have imagined how the combo looks like :) For some reason, I decided to not present the palm sugar sago serve together with the fruits sate, I just want to have them as simple as that. The major preparations to this dessert that I hate the most is doing the carving on the pineapples, in order to removes the thousand black eyes on the exterior flesh, it such a pain for me. Mangoes are still abundant here at my place, they are fantastically fresh in their season, I am a big fans of mango and I really wish that they are would last until next year, I wish… I have always create to make something from mango since it seasonal and make sure that my creation always hits the day. My most favorite fruit snack is making them as candied mango ( manisan mangga ) , very quick to make and really addicted, they are absolutely great to be a snack while watching movie at home during weekend, Oh Best! Tempe is my favorite food overall, a cake made from soybean and fermented, they are cheap and it taste just like meat. Reputedly to a story that I ever heard, some of them have regards Tempe only for poor people , the fact that they are wrong anyway. Tempe doesn’t deserve falsehood of rumour because Tempe is containing high protein.  By the way, there are always having words to described Tempe , a cake that has earthy smell, has succeed to amazed the world and of course it delicious. Butter Cream Cheese Loaf

I was completely sold when I was stumble the recipe of butter cream cheese loaf here , reading it from starts until the cake was portrayed nicely by her, and honestly she won me over! The ingredients are just nailed it into my liking as my fondness to cheese is just mad, all that cheesy I really love them.  I think of it all night, cant wait for the night gone by and the earth moving to fetch the morning come faster so I can go to do some shopping and starts baking.   I can tell you how much I love black coffee, it like my best friend whom always giving me some energy and spirit each day. I knew when the rainy season approaching soon at last couples weeks ago beyond doubt as most of the time the skies were looks grey all afternoon and the evening became very pleasantly afterwards, nice and chill… Yesterday was totally grey all day as the rainy season has just started, it rains, drizzled, rains again and all of sudden it stopped at early evening. The mood was streaming groovy and the feeling drives me cooking, tiding the house and baking at the same time, all have been flowing smoothly. The desire to bake this cake is all sets in mind long time back, since I have particular ingredients to go for so I had to hold up a little longer. I was thinking if I fortunate to get the one that I wanted, the cake would definitely the most luscious cake I ever have * traditionally-modern, flavourful and characterized Because of my obstinate, I had awaiting for quite long, until last week I have found them, coincidentally put up on sale by the side road peddler and he is the only seller. Mango Chutney

I live in a place which is very favorable, surroundings by so many mango trees, many of them. At the first year when I arrived at this place, exactly this time of year, It was arum manis mango seasonal *mangga arum manis .  I can plug the mango as many as I want at anytime, no one would make complain because its allowed by the management, this is really cool ah… To me, this is absolutely advantageous place to live at as I really big fan of mango, hihi..i can make manisan mangga, pickled mango, mango salad, sambal mangga, mango granita, mango juice, mango pops and many more variety of mango dishes. Since the mango season hits the island and of course the mango trees started to produced their wonderful fruits, I have made my mango chutney yesterday its from naturally grown mango tree of our compounds.
