Grass jelly Ice ( Es cincau sirup pandan )

This is the drink of my childhood secret additives which I grew up with, a simple drink made of grass jelly (cincau). One thing I like about grass jelly (cincau) is always gives unique flavour to every sweet drink or dessert such “Es campur(Indonesian mix ice) , although if you notice that the jelly itself has a slight bitter taste. You may have found it very weird kind of jelly, but if you know how to unite the match, the translucent black became the honey bunny of your favorite drink. Growing up in such tropical country yet beautiful is a blessed to me as well as tropical climate and archipelagic geography support to have wealth agriculture, a unique flora and fauna. This is my Indonesia , a place I always cheer up to live at, with all traditional culture identities, characteristic natural resources and diversity range of Indonesian food. One of timeless tropical fruit I always desire is soursop as commonly called as Sirsak in Indonesia language. I’ve lived in Goa – India for 6 years, so lassi is one of my revitalize drinks in my everyday life at that time, the simple and satisfying is a delicacy beverage. It was a time where I used to enjoy the traditional lassi in the New Gandhi market in goa, the lassi has touched of savory and the mild aromatic of spices.   As much as I love tea, I could say without doubt that this is one of flavourful ice tea which completely has tropical self treat and I find it very fascinating for summer drink. I have herd about Teh Obeng before, as Batamese calls for es teh (sweeten ice tea) and I have never thought of that teh obeng is the same ice tea I usually make at home. Well, i finally had visiting batam last few months back even though only for a night staying in purpose of continuing the trip to Singapore by the sea. It was lighten up from my curiosity of the famous teh obeng, what it is all about and how actually taste like and its definitely highlight of the day. Es Blewah-Cantaloupe Ice

Cantaloupe is variety of melon and more related to cucumber than water melon and its round shape with bumpy skin. Cantaloupe has sweet fragrant and orange flesh, its great for salad or cold drink. Cantaloupe ice ( es blewah) is well-known throughout Indonesia , its suitable for summer drink because its has refreshing aroma, when its seasonal could easily found in traditional market and supermarket. You have likely picked a tender, sweet, flavorful cantaloupe and you may a winner of your summer drink !
