Lassies ( mango lassi and strawberry lassi )

I’ve lived in GoaIndia for 6 years, so lassi is one of my revitalize drinks in my everyday life at that time, the simple and satisfying is a delicacy beverage.
It was a time where I used to enjoy the traditional lassi in the New Gandhi market in goa, the lassi has touched of savory and the mild aromatic of spices.
To me, it was a distinctive refreshing

I choose fruity lassi this time as it is enormously fitted to my baby, flavorful and healthy.
Replacing honey as a sweetener gives a different outcome, but don’t worry--feel free to make your various sweetener.

mango lassi

         Mango Lassi

2 cups plain yogurt
whole medium size mango (prefer fresh)
2 cups crushed ice
honey as desired to sweeten

Cut the mango into medium chunks
In the blender add the mango and honey, Blend until smooth
Add the yogurt and crushed ice and then blend until smooth again.
 * Add a little water if the consistency is too thick.
Keep refrigerated, serve chilled 

strawberry lassi


          Strawberry Lassi

2 cups plain yogurt
2 cups crushed iced
2 cups fresh strawberry--cut into small pieces
Honey to sweeten
A pinch of salt

Purée the strawberries with honey and a pinch of salt in a blender, blend on high speed until smooth.
Add yogurt and crushed ice and then blend until smooth again.
Serve chilled
